Our Favorite Holiday Sweets and Cookies

Ahhhh. The time of year for all the sweets! We wanted to share with you some of our favorite Christmas Cookie recipes! These recipes are our go to when we are having a get together, pot luck, or Christmas party.

One of our all-time favorites is the Oreo Snowman Balls. Sweet and chewy treats to share at your party or package up and give out in your cookie box.

OREO SNOWMAN BALLS

1 pkg cream cheese, softened
36 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
12 oz. white baking chocolate, melted
1 tsp black decorating gel
2 tsp orange decorating icing
1. Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
2. Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 minutes.
3. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
Decorate with remaining ingredients to resemble snowmen.
4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

Christmas Crack!.... A classic right?

This is a simple recipe but man oh man is it SOOOO good! This is a fun
one to do with your kiddos because you can get pretty wild with the topping options!

Christmas Crack

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups semi sweet chocolate
40 saltine crackers

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a large baking sheet with heavy duty aluminum foil. Spread the
crackers out on the foil in a single layer and fold up edges of the foil to box in the crackers.
Set aside.
2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium-high heat on the
stovetop. Bring to a rolling boil. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to boil for 5
minutes (set a timer), stirring occasionally. Quickly pour over the crackers and spread to
cover completely.
3. Bake for 5 minutes in the oven. Turn off heat. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle
the chocolate chips on top.
4. Let stand for 1-2 minutes or until the chocolate starts to look shiny and is soft enough
spread evenly over the toffee. If the chocolate is still not warm enough to spread after 4
minutes, place it back in the oven for a minute to help soften it.
5. Top with any additional toppings if desired!! You can add some white chocolate chips,
candy cake sprinkles, red sprinkles, green sprinkles, or all of the above. OR nothing at all!
6. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to harden. Peel away the foil and break into
pieces.

Another dessert that is always a HIT is the brownie cake! You can't go wrong with this one. It is a perfect choice for a make ahead dessert.

Lastly, the Reindeer Chow. This has many variations and names for that matter. Have you made this before? If so, what do you do different? What do you call it?
